Ghost stories, a Wurlitzer organ and a great pint of ale! Stockport is worth a behind-the-scenes look! Town Trails Ghostly Walks
If a close encounter with the supernatural is your thing, then our ghost walks will send your spine tingling. Club Zero are Stockport's own ghostbusters. Actors mix historical fact with folklore on a tour of medieval Stockport with tales of haunted happenings.

The Town Centre Heritage Trail spans 800 years of Stockport's history and gives you a taste of some of the town's most interesting and unusual sites.
Discover the trails 36 sites and explore their historical and social significance inlcuding pubs, bridges, states, museums and brows ( a local term meaning a steep, sometimes cobbled, hill). The trail starts at the Tourist Information Centre in Stockport's Market Place (Trail maps also available from here).

If you prefer spirits of a different kind then try one of Stockport's Ale Trails
There are many traditional pubs, especially in the town centre serving ales such as Porters and cider, Sam Smith's beer, Copper Dragon and several guest beers and ales. Out of town beers include Beartown beer and proper cider, Manchester brewed Hyde's beer, Holts bitter and of course Robinsons.
Robinson's Brewery Tour
Robinson's have been brewing beer in Stockport since 1865 and now
own 400 pubs. Old Tom, the renowned winter warmer, was Supreme Beer
Champion in 2005.
