The Shopping Centre is open 7 days a week, catering for every shopping need. For further information visit the Customer Services Desk or log on to www.merseyway.com

Princes Street
Princes Street runs parallel to Merseyway, and one of the busiest shopping streets in the town centre. Much of the street is pedestrianised, making the area a pleasant place to mooch around the vriety of shops located there.

Stockport Market and area

The historic Market Place has almost 200 stalls selling anything from fresh fish to rolls of fabric. Stalls are housed in and around a Victorian Market Hall, and a speciality Produce Hall, and is one of the only remaining traditional street markets in the North West.

Produce Hall - This beautifully restored Hall has a well-established reputation for offering fine local produce - including quality meats, fish, cheese, traditional pies and freshly baked bread.

Market Day - You are always guaranteed to find something unusual on your way to spotting a bargain. Come and see for yourself the variety of goods including flowers, fresh fruit and veg, clothing & footwear, toiletries and leather goods. Stalls can also be found at the junction of Warren Street and Bridge Street. Tuesdays, the Market is home to Stockport's flea market.

Underbanks and Hillgate
Below the Market Place, run the Underbanks - Here the streets are characterised by quaint shop fronts and specialist shops selling quirky and gifts, from funky hand made jewellery to musical instruments, and street cafe's where you can take a break from shopping.

The Courts
Stockport's former Magistrate's Court has found a new lease of life as a town centre retail complex, offering shoppers a combination of brand names with escalator access to Stockport Market Place and the Tourist Information Centre.

Peel Centre
To the east of the town centre lies the Peel Centre, a large, busy retail park which is home to every kind of superstore you could possible imagine - electrical, furniture, clothing, books and toys.
