Thousands of places open their doors for Heritage Open Days . . .
celebrating England's rich architecture, history and culture. Grasp the chance to explore somewhere that is normally closed or usually changes an entrance fee.

Stockport is hosting over 40 events this year .. .
Look out for Gothic revival interiors, the Green Man, organ concerts, theatre tours, traditional pub games, gravestones, war-time rationing, crematoria, Judge Bradshaw's hat, stained glass, hand dug caves, quirky spires, and a medieval red light district.
